Pastor Alexander Schmidtke of House of Prayer Christian Church Fayetteville, North Carolina, originally from Milford, Connecticut, along with his wonderful wife Gilda Schmidtke of House of Prayer, from Gainesville, Georgia, have zealously labored side by side since the pioneering days of this movement. Together for over eighteen years they have serviced their community from their current location with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have joyfully witnessed many children from the church grow up to be Christians and join them in the spiritual conquest of reaching the lost souls of humanity. Helping the youth through spiritual education, providing a home away from home atmosphere for service men and women, feeding the homeless, and helping the residents of Fayetteville are some of the things that they do best. These two travelled as House of Prayer missionaries to Ibadan, Nigeria, Africa, in 2009 with fellow HOPCC missionaries Jeff and Sarah Derby. During their tenure in Africa, the missionaries conducted a Church Conference which encouraged all denominations to attend and drew people from diverse Christian backgrounds as Episcopalian, Holiness, and Pentecostal believers as well as people who were unbelievers. They baptized new converts, visited and fellowshipped with tribal chiefs, and preached to the student body at the University of Ibadan. Furthermore, Pastor Alexander Schmidtke of House of Prayer Christian Church has no intention of slowing down or stopping his work as a Pastor of the church, and principal of God’s Heritage Christian Academy.

He gives God all of the glory due to His name for the opportunity to help people in whatever capacity possible as the church continues to be a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength to all in need as it continues to reach lost souls for the kingdom of Heaven. “Ke are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candle stick; and it Giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.” (Matt. 5:14-16)
