HOPCC NORTH CAROLINA MISSIONARIES

Christian denominations predominantly promote World Missions as a means of service for church members. Their desire to obey the Lord’s command of “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15 KJV)” has sent countless missionaries overseas while church Missions Boards receive substantial amounts of money from its generous parishioners; thus providing the necessary financial support for missionaries to spread the love of God on foreign soil and to fund humanitarian acts.

HOPCC North Carolina Missionaries have committed themselves to obey this divine mandate by answering the call to dispatch missionary teams throughout the world wherever the need arises. Countries such as Nigeria, El Salvador, and Haiti, to name a few, have been touched by the spirit of giving of this exceptional church, showing these stalwart laborers have not let God or the world down!

A fiery zeal for a worldwide revival to help aid a starving tribe in Africa while forsaking the needs of their fellow countrymen is a common flaw of many. Moreover, there is a spiritual crisis. The neglected masses of US citizens are left alone to perish in their sins at the hand of poverty, murder, addiction, etc. All because the gospel is not preached on the streets but rather is only contained in a building for the Sunday faithful.

However, HOPCC North Carolina Missionaries are not limited in their vision to just feed a starving man or to offer much needed medical assistance that they follow the example of the Levite and “… pass by on the other side (Luke 10:32 KJV)” the people of their own country; for these missionaries are not leaving anyone behind including their own.

HOPCC NORTH CAROLINA MISSIONARIES VISIT NEW ENGLAND

New England has played a prominent role in the first movements of American literature, philosophy, education, and the movement to abolish slavery. Yet, it is mainly known for the historic religious time called the Great Awakening. Legendary preachers spearheading this movement were George Whitefield, James Davenport, and the Massachusetts native Jonathan Edwards. These pioneers of old labored intensely with the Great Commission in their hearts and minds. Now centuries later on the soil that was their parish, the HOPCC North Carolina Missionaries came with the same ardent intensity to pick up the mantle left behind to awaken souls again to a personal relationship with God and bring a renewal back into the life of a church, community, or family with the intent of producing a local, national, or global effect.

REVIVAL FIRES REIGNITED IN MASSACHUSETTS

New England – made up of six states – is a major world center of education, high technology, insurance, and medicine. Still, it is known as the least religious part of the US, where one out of every four New Englander identifies as having no religion. With this in mind, several teams traveled from Fayetteville, NC, to Marlborough, Massachusetts, which served as their base camp, with all but two of the New England states being reached. With time of the essence, in as many cities as possible, they witnessed and prayed at libraries, colleges, landmarks, restaurants, and gas stations; attended church services; and prayed and encouraged the Pastors and staff in various churches.

Many of the HOPCC North Carolina missionaries expressed a desire to go to Plymouth Rock. However, they were all dismayed at how it was not what they had imagined since only 1/3 of the top portion remains. Then as they gathered there, the missionaries, in keeping with the tradition established by the Puritans in 1620, formed a prayer circle around the iconic landmark. As they prayed, many tourists began to join hands with them and prayed and sang hymns of glorious praise unto the Savior.

“THE BAY STATE” TESTIMONIALS

HOPCC North Carolina Missionaries reported many things took place on their trip that changed and touched their lives. Unity, the Pastor that broke down crying because he felt so alone, nightly prayer meetings at the hotel, and on and on, but one event involved a man named Chris. He was spotted by a team of missionaries in the city of Springfield walking through the parking lot of an abandoned building. After being approached, he cautioned the missionaries that they were in a dangerous place and explained he had just moved from Fayetteville, NC. The missionaries, undeterred in their objective, told him they too were from Fayetteville, and the man was touched, and prayer was made for his soul. After that, just as the Evangelist Phillip in the Book of Acts, they were on their way to find another soul!
